Synopsis

Carolyn discovers that the Todds are now fostering a boy named Alexander, who is, it seems, their nephew. Alexander takes a keen interest in Carolyn. She gives Paul the check Roger had given her, and he tears it up before persuading her to leave Collinsport with him. Elizabeth invites Paul to stay at Collinwood, and he consequently abandons his plans to depart. Elizabeth then falls under the influence of the Leviathans.
