Synopsis

Professor Stokes is haunted by a recurring dream. In it, he insists on a verbal exchange with the figure who beckons him, refusing entry until spoken to. The beckoner, Sam Evans, speaks. Stokes declares he will proceed alone, but Sam insists he would die if he did. Stokes then approaches the door himself, with Sam following close behind. He recites the familiar, lamentable riddle and still refuses to open it. Angelique appears, mistaking him for Ben Stokes. He corrects her, stating he is Timothy
