Synopsis

The arrow had missed its mark, failing to pierce Barnabas’ heart. Instead, he strangled Nathan. Joshua then commanded Ben to bury Nathan, and orchestrated a report claiming Nathan had deserted Millicent. As dawn broke, Barnabas learned of Joshua's impending betrayal and made two requests: Ben’s release and a letter to the governor petitioning for a postponement of Victoria’s hanging.
