Synopsis

Reverend Trask returned to the ancient tree and found Miss Winters gone. He suspected foul play, that someone had aided her departure, and so began questioning everyone he encountered. A chance eavesdropping revealed one of the conspirators admitting Victoria Winters’ whereabouts. Angelique, feigning a vision, declared that Miss Winters was secreted away within the newly constructed mansion of the Collins family, Collinwood.
