Synopsis

Joshua Collins, head of the family, made the decision with a degree of reluctance: he would employ Miss Winters as governess to his daughter, Sarah. His sister, Abigail, viewed this arrangement with suspicion. A persistent unease settled upon her; she harbored a troubling conviction that Miss Winters possessed a darker nature, perhaps even a touch of witchcraft.
