Synopsis

Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard, unsettled by her nephew’s conviction of a haunting, conceded to a seance within her own home. As the ritual commenced, the purported ghost – identified as Sarah Collins – seemed to choose Victoria Winters, the governess, as its medium. The proceedings, however, proved brief; Miss Winters vanished abruptly, replaced by an unfamiliar woman seated in her stead.
