Synopsis

Barnabas and Julia stepped into the drawing-room of the Old House. Time had taken a noticeable toll on Barnabas’s appearance. He accused Julia of deliberately hastening his decline, fueled by a desire for his attention. Julia countered, reminding him that she had requested additional time to prepare.
