Synopsis

Jason attempted to coerce Elizabeth into marriage, but she steadfastly refused, choosing instead to accept imprisonment for the murder of Paul Stoddard. She sought out Carolyn, hoping to explain her reasoning, yet found the woman unwilling to listen. Ultimately, Elizabeth yielded to Jason's demands and agreed to the marriage.
