Synopsis

Gabriel drew the slip bearing the mark of X and fled, eager to avoid a night confined within the locked chamber. But Quentin and Morgan intercepted him, securing him in the tower room until the appointed hour for his descent into the cursed space. Soon after, Quentin fell ill with the plague. Gabriel seized the opportunity and escaped from his confinement.
