Synopsis

Gerard sought to persuade Daphne that marriage to him was the wisest course, citing Quentin’s affections for Joanna as justification. Quentin, in turn, confessed to Joanna that his heart now belonged to Daphne. Gerard orchestrated a dream for Daphne, a vision of Quentin and her reunited in love. Awakening from the dream, Daphne informed Quentin of her intention to marry Gerard.
