Synopsis

A growing unease settled upon Mrs. Johnson; she found herself increasingly convinced that Collinwood held a spectral presence, and she shared her apprehension with Burke. At the same moment, the carefully laid plans to acquire the cannery dissolved as the company executives decisively rejected Burke’s proposal.
