The death of a man, occurring shortly after he amassed a considerable fortune and ended a relationship with his girlfriend, drew the attention of Grissom, Nick, and Sara Sidel, the newest addition to the CSI team. Meanwhile, Holly Gribbs remained hospitalized, and Warrick Brown faced potential suspension for his decision to leave her alone at the crime scene. Tragically, Holly succumbed to her injuries in the hospital, though Grissom ultimately chose not to suspend Warrick.
