Synopsis

Having weathered a fierce conflict against Vox Machina and the Herd of Storms, the ancient black dragon Umbrasyl retreated to Gatshadow Mountain, grievously wounded. With Scanlan Shorthalt and Vax'ildan held captive within the beast, and Grog Strongjaw dangling from a chain secured to an axe lodged in Umbrasyl’s hide, the adventurers faced a desperate choice: survive their immediate peril and pursue the dragon into its lair, or bide their time for a more opportune moment to strike.
