Synopsis

Jenny’s temporary posting to a London hospital, already stretched thin for staff, begins to weigh on her. Her reluctance grows as she discovers she’s working under the watchful eye of the formidable surgeon, Mr. Tracey. Meanwhile, back in Poplar, the midwives welcome Jane, a new face, and the spirited twins, Meg and Mave Carter. Identical in appearance, the sisters face a unique challenge: one is pregnant, compelling them to confront the profound changes a child will bring to their lives.
