This series was the first anime I encountered that really captured my attention, and now it ranks among my all-time favorites. The positive reception is entirely warranted; those who dismiss it as mere "furry bait" are missing out on something exceptional—it’s truly remarkable. The show feels like a grown-up take on Zootopia, beginning with romantic elements before developing into a suspenseful narrative.

Beastars is reminiscent of Zootropolis combined with 13 Reasons Why. It's an animated series featuring standard high school storylines, except all the characters are animals. The show has some disturbing elements and the animation style feels a bit unusual, but the plot is captivating and the characters are well-developed. It’s worth watching on Netflix.
