Finishing the season left me with this strange sensation of having already seen it before, prompting me to search for where that feeling came from—and I realized it was similar to “You.” Both programs center on characters attempting to suppress their violent impulses and lead ordinary lives, but consistently falling short. However, "Barry" feels much more approachable. There's no obsessive tracking of people, he forms genuine relationships, and fundamentally, the series is humorous. It’s clear Bill Hader has a background in comedy. Beyond that, the visuals are truly outstanding. I was aware Bill Hader had studied film when I started watching, but it’s incredibly apparent—particularly with the opening scenes and those depicting Barry's PTSD. Regardless, it gets a perfect score: 10/10. You really should watch it; I’m seriously urging you to. It is exceptionally funny, deeply moving, and simply an ideal show.
