Synopsis

With the guidance of the celebrated chef Masa Takayama, Bourdain's journey back to Japan commences with explorations of Kanazawa's vibrant outdoor food markets. There, they savor delicacies such as sea urchin, oysters the size of steaks, and grilled eel liver. The day concludes with a conversation held at a teahouse with a former geisha, before returning to Tokyo for a meticulously curated omakase meal at Sushi Koi, the Ginza restaurant where Masa himself once apprenticed.
