Synopsis

Beyond the familiar narratives of oil, NASA, and football, Bourdain delves into the vibrant tapestry of Houston's cultures. He witnesses a Bollywood-inspired dance unfolding within the aisles of a grocery store, observes a Quinceañera celebration in the quiet suburbs of Pasadena, and documents the city’s distinctive slab car parade. Amidst these scenes, he savors the flavors of Viet-Bayou crawfish, East Texas barbecue, and a hearty Congolese-Cajun stew.
