Synopsis

In the Bay Area, encompassing San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, Bourdain embarked on a personal exploration. He immersed himself in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training under the guidance of instructor Kurt Osiander, and sought restorative nourishment through culinary experiences. These included a dinner at the historic Trader Vic's with author Sean Wilsey ("Oh the Glory of it All"), followed by a meal at Real Miss Ollie’s, a soul food restaurant shared with Bobby Seale, a founding member of the Bla
