Nearly a decade had passed since Tony last set foot in Russia with his old friend and fellow traveler, Zamir Gotta. Vladimir Putin’s grip on power had only tightened with time. As the Sochi Games approached, the nation was under a tight, watchful control, yet Tony and Zamir were not men given to silence or obedience.
