Synopsis

The summer heat intensifies as a parliamentary election looms, and political tensions explode. A young police officer is tragically killed in what appears to be the first of a series of attacks targeting high-ranking politicians and officials by an unknown person. Experienced investigators Anna Holt and Bo Jarnebring are assigned to solve this complicated crime. They soon discover their opponent is cunning and always one step ahead. The situation becomes more difficult as some politicians try to use the attacks for personal advantage, adding layers of complexity to the investigation. Amidst the political maneuvering and growing pressure, the investigators must navigate a dangerous world of lies and deceit to stop the elusive attacker before more lives are lost in this deadly game.
