In the station's waiting room, two men sat in uneasy silence, awaiting their train. A nearby criminal asylum had recently suffered an escape, and a palpable tension hung in the air. The news, a dark undercurrent to their mundane wait, began to subtly erode their trust. Soon, a shared apprehension twisted into a quiet suspicion, each man casting glances at the other, assessing for signs of guilt.
