Synopsis

Matt had taken a deer in the wilderness, but his task was far from complete. The forests of Southeast Alaska were home to many black and brown bears, whose keen noses could detect a carcass from miles away. It was only when the resettler had dragged the sixty-kilo kill back to "Brownstown" that he would be safe from the hungry predators. Meanwhile, Matt's siblings were mixing wall paint in the forest, using berries and mud as pigment.
