Synopsis

The renowned filmmaker Errol Morris has become captivated by one of America’s most enduring true crime stories: the 1970 murder of a pregnant woman and her two young daughters on an Army post. Green Beret physician Jeffrey MacDonald maintained that a group of drug-fueled hippies, spearheaded by a young woman wearing a wide-brimmed hat, had attacked his family. However, Army investigators asserted that MacDonald himself was responsible for the killings.
