Saturday Night Live — Season 28
Saturday Night Live’s twenty-eighth season arrived on NBC during the 2002-2003 television year, kicking off October 5th, 2002, and wrapping up May 17th, 2003 – a full run of twenty episodes. The season marked a bittersweet transition for the show. Beloved cast members Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer departed; while Ana’s leave coincided with the arrival of her child, she ultimately chose not to return. Stepping into the spotlight were fresh faces Fred Armisen, a comedian and musician, and Will Forte, a talented TV writer, both joining as featured players. Looking ahead, Season 28 proved to be a farewell for Dean Edwards, Chris Kattan, and Tracy Morgan. Though their time on stage concluded here, fans weren't entirely without them – Chris and Tracy would pop up in cameos throughout the following season.
