Mirroring the event of 1959, the Palais des Festivals once again hosted this year’s competition. Jacqueline Joubert, a familiar face, returned as the show's presenter, a role she had previously held in 1959. The stage itself was considerably larger than in prior years, and adorned with a lavish display of flowers.
