It's baffling how a premise as inventive as a man struck by a bus who finds himself in an alternate reality where he alone recalls the Beatles could result in such a limited movie experience. Himesh Patel delivers an appealing performance, but even his talents are insufficient to sustain a film of this length. Lily James does what she can to help, yet the fundamental problem remains: a severely flawed script. The musical score is excellent, though most of it originates from decades prior. There’s a fleeting attempt to critique today's music industry and the entities that champion individual artists; however, any possibility for a sharper commentary on those practices disappears due to the film's overall lack of interest. What a disappointment!
