It’s strange in all the wrong ways, but that’s part of what makes it amusing. This is definitely an improvement over the director's earlier work. While 'Rubber' was original, its brand of dark humor didn’t appeal to everyone—and certainly not to me—even though I recognized the attempt behind it. I did enjoy this film; it felt straightforward and unhurried, and they managed to bring it to a satisfying conclusion. There were unexpected developments, but subtle ones. The performances from the cast were also quite good. It's a respectable independent movie, and I’m realizing that my rating might be too harsh. The story involves a man who wakes up one morning to discover his dog is missing. Following advice he received from a neighbor, he goes about his day assuming the dog will return, but it doesn't. He then pursues a cryptic message related to his dog's disappearance and follows all of the instructions, waiting for positive news, only to be met with a small surprise at the very end. Aside from the deliberate slow rhythm, the film is enjoyable. The meaning behind the title isn’t immediately clear, but that’s essentially what this movie explores—the feeling that everything is amiss. If you choose to watch it, set aside any expectations of reason and just relax and appreciate it, because films like this don't come around often. I would recommend it to people wanting a change from typical comedies. _6/10_
