A contemporary reimagining of the wolverine myth set in Japan, where wolves are no longer found in the wild. The animation quality is truly remarkable, particularly the detailed and evocative backgrounds. I found the narrative engaging and genuinely moving as it portrays a mother's efforts to care for her young; however, it does lose some momentum due to pacing issues.

It's a visually stunning film, delivering a powerful and affecting experience. The superb musical score composed by Takagi Masakatsu truly elevates it even further.
