“When a Stranger Calls” is a reimagining of a psychological thriller, presenting an absorbing narrative that maintains a feeling of tension thanks to noteworthy performances and capable camerawork. The film does have issues though; there are some problems with the plot’s coherence, and certain actions taken by the characters don't seem believable, which might cause some audience members to wonder about how things unfold. Even so, it provides an enjoyable experience for those who appreciate suspenseful thrillers.
