It's an acceptable crime thriller from the eighties, and it benefits from solid acting, particularly from Wings Hauser, who seems like a genuinely talented performer. However, the film is significantly undermined by its introductory and final musical pieces, which are incredibly corny and clash with the overall feel of the story.
