I really enjoyed *It Follows*, and I’m finding a lot to like with this as well. The partnership between Mitchell and Disasterpeace is excellent again. (This is what an atmospheric soundtrack resembles, Mr. Nolan). The visuals are quite engaging without being overly showy or drawing too much attention to the technical aspects. It probably won't appeal to everyone; I suspect it might resonate a bit intensely with many young men in their twenties and thirties. If it seems like the movie deals with a somewhat weak situation, bolstered by perhaps superficial references to popular culture, that’s because it reflects what a large number of men—like the central character—often think about. It's incredibly widespread. There's a line that says, "Your art. Your writing. Your culture is the shell of other men's ambitions. Ambitions beyond what you will ever understand." Only time will reveal its true impact; I have a feeling it’ll be significant.
