I’m an average person, and while I haven’t played the game this movie is based on, I understand it’s supposed to be enjoyable. The film itself is alright as a treasure hunting adventure. The action sequences are well-executed and continuous, and the actors, Holland (the most recent Spiderman) and Wahlberg, seem to have good chemistry together. Even the actress in the female lead role did a decent job with her part meant to represent diversity and inclusion. If I had to point out any drawbacks, it would be that the villain being a woman feels overdone—a tired trope thanks to Hollywood’s current trends. This approach is questionable at best, especially when it comes to fight scenes between the hero and the antagonist. It's time for Hollywood to move on from this kind of thing. There’s no need to force inclusivity when you can simply cast someone because they fit the role narratively instead of trying to fulfill a political agenda. I wouldn’t mind so much if Hollywood was capable of writing compelling characters and scripts, but that isn't possible when they are just checking off boxes. **Some spoilers and complaints follow:** If the movie had started by showing the female villain demonstrating her abilities in combat, her ability to lead others would be more convincing. It also would have explained why people would follow her. However, her action scenes don’t feel as impactful because her background isn't established within the film. I struggled to understand whether she was a fellow treasure hunter who knew Wahlberg’s character and served as an advisor to the wealthy villain, or if she was simply a hired mercenary. It turns out she was the latter, but that didn't help her character feel complete. I kept wondering, "Why would anyone follow her? She hasn’t done anything to show she’s better than any other ordinary killer." If there was one major failing in this movie, it was this aspect. Henry Cavill made an excellent henchman in *Mission Impossible: Fallout* because men fighting men is believable; villains have a sense of menace. But without that kind of specialized training for a female villain, any fight between her and male characters feels forced. The actress, Tati Gabrielle, did well playing the antagonist, but women fighting men just isn't believable—and that matters to many viewers. Instead of being on the edge of your seat wondering who will win, you’re sitting back questioning what kind of nonsense Hollywood is going to pull with this fight scene. Overall, I would give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars. It doesn't compare to *National Treasure* or *Indiana Jones*, but it’s better than *Red Notice*, if only slightly.
