Synopsis

"Viviane's Journey" tells the story of Viviane, the wife of a French Consul, who travels to New Guinea to gather rare feathers for a Parisian export. While exploring the unfamiliar terrain, she meets four European travelers who are venturing into the mountains in search of a legendary place called "La Vallée," marked as hidden on maps. Intrigued by their shared desire for exploration, Viviane joins the group on their quest. They encounter the Mapuga tribe and experience a clash between Western and indigenous ways of life. As Viviane collects feathers, she also grapples with the challenges of this new world and her growing connections with the others. The journey culminates in an attempt to find the mythical "Valley of the Gods," testing their strength and their relationships. "Viviane's Journey" is an exploration of cultural exchange, personal growth, and the pull of the unknown.
