While The Stranger Returns might be considered superior to its predecessor, it’s held back by Dan Vadis' underwhelming portrayal of "En Plein"; he possessed the right appearance but not much else seemed present. Tony Anthony is back as the “Stranger,” and there are a few enjoyable moments, including one where his character shares a meal with a henchman. The final scene feels rather absurd.
