It's certainly not a cinematic masterpiece, yet I find myself returning to this film repeatedly—perhaps three or four times across the years. It’s generally enjoyable, even though the script contains some truly weak lines. Still, Val Kilmer is good in the central role and he has several pleasant moments with Elisabeth Shue. **3.5/5**
