It was genuinely funny; *The Night Before* proved to be quite entertaining and I really liked it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, and Anthony Mackie are excellent together—I appreciate each of the actors on their own, and as a group, they’re just as good, delivering amusing performances across the board. Rogen seems perfectly suited for his part and does a fantastic job, while Gordon-Levitt isn't quite as strong as the others but remains agreeable to watch, as is Mackie. The casting was really well done, with supporting actors like Michael Shannon and Tracy Morgan included. There are other recognizable performers too, such as Ilana Glazer and Lorraine Toussaint. The storyline doesn’t offer anything particularly original or unusual, but it still feels fairly new for the most part. I will mention that the movie does stumble a little around the middle, though it recovers quickly—aided by a memorable scene featuring some amusing appearances from other actors. It's an enjoyable film overall; it’s silly, but they manage to pull it off. I would suggest seeing it.
