It’s hard to find something positive to mention about this film; the most notable aspect is probably how often you’ll glance at your watch. I found myself checking the time constantly throughout the viewing experience. Given that the movie is called "The Mastermind," one might reasonably anticipate a plot demonstrating some level of planning or intelligence. However, any such expectations will be unmet. It seems as though the story was only partially developed before they abandoned it and simply tacked on the end credits. The musical score consistently fails to align with the film's tone; there’s a point where I resolved that next time I encounter someone playing drums, I would physically restrain them from doing so. This is the first time I’ve felt genuine frustration toward background music. This movie goes far beyond being simply dull. Avoid it at all costs. If anyone recommends you watch it, reconsider your relationship with that person.
