Synopsis

In the fantastical kingdom of Takicardie, King Charles V-et-III-font-VIII-et-VIII-font-XVI rules with a harsh hand, finding peace only in hunting birds. But his cruel deeds are repeatedly thwarted by a clever mockingbird. One night, the king's portrait magically comes to life and takes control of him. Trapped within the painting, the king falls for a shepherdess from another portrait and wants to marry her. The shepherdess, however, is in love with a chimney sweep, and they escape the king's palace together. Enraged, the king sends his guards after them. When they are caught, he forces the shepherdess into a marriage she doesn't want. Now facing an unfair ruler, the mockingbird must devise a new plan to end the king's tyranny. This story explores love, bravery, and resistance as the mockingbird fights for justice in a world of illusions.
