Synopsis

Luther Heggs, a dedicated typesetter at the local newspaper, conceives a compelling story about a notorious haunted house in their town. The house is infamous for a murder-suicide that occurred there twenty years ago. The paper's editor tests Luther by assigning him to spend a night alone inside. However, the victims' nephew sues Luther for libel, jeopardizing his reputation and the town’s peace.
