Synopsis

Thad Beaumont, a famous author known for his violent pulp thrillers written as George Stark, announces his retirement from the character in a public event. This triggers a series of terrifying murders that exactly copy the scenes from his novels. The police are confused, investigating crimes that appear to be committed by Stark himself – a fictional person. As Thad and the police try to find the truth behind these awful crimes, it becomes clear that Stark isn't willing to stop his dark path, even if it endangers everything Thad cares about. The difference between reality and fiction begins to disappear as Thad must face the twisted personality he thought he had stopped, fighting to protect his family and his own well-being in a frightening battle against a dangerous copy of himself.
