*The Cabin in the Woods*, released in 2012, tries to take apart familiar slasher movie elements, but because it lacks genuine suspense and a feeling of unease, it mostly comes across as empty. It's no secret that these unfo…

I laughed and I was scared—it really got to me. It's an excellent film, easily among the strongest entries in that kind of story we’ve seen recently.
