The premise held promise, though the writing and filmmaking felt rather ordinary. Banderas’ performance is noteworthy; in fact, seeing him at work almost makes the film worthwhile. Williams also delivers a solid portrayal of an archaeologist with Jewish heritage, but ultimately, the movie falls short of its ambitions.
