It deserves recognition for attempting a great deal, even if it doesn’t always succeed in handling everything perfectly. It's not the strongest film to emerge from Korea this year; that distinction goes to ‘Parasite,’ which has gained considerable attention at festivals. However, it is certainly among the most emotionally impactful cinematic experiences I’ve encountered recently.
