I went into Sonic with a lot of anticipation, mainly because I’m drawn to the idea of “super-speed,” but it ultimately fell short. The most enjoyable moments were all showcased in the recent preview. Many sequences featuring super-speed felt confusing and illogical. It's not believable to see a missile suspended mid-air while another action happens at an accelerated rate—that’s just one instance of this problem. Jim Carrey was excellent as Eggman.
