This is a really good mystery film featuring a clever plot development. I enjoyed it very much.

Crowe seems to have put in a bit more effort here. He’s more active on screen, and he appears to be somewhat thinner—though it could simply be the result of camera tricks. Regardless, any positive changes are undermined by the film's excessive length, nearing two hours. The plot developments aren't particularly impressive or essential, really. It's adequate, I suppose, but not exactly original; it feels stretched out…
