Synopsis

In 1816, at Lake Geneva, Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, and Claire Clairmont gather, drawn together by love, friendship, and artistic aspirations. Byron challenges them to write the most frightening story, inspiring Mary to create *Frankenstein*. As she writes, the story blurs with her own life, and she begins to fear her creation might become real. The film also explores Claire's tragic story: ostracized after having Byron's child, she is denied contact with her daughter and struggles with her feelings for both. The contrasting personalities of Percy Shelley and Lord Byron highlight the complexities of human desire and weakness.
