I walked away feeling let down by this film, especially considering how much I enjoyed the first two installments. The found-footage style and shaky camera work that defined the earlier films are largely absent here, and what replaces it is filled with illogical or pointless scenes. The plot itself didn't hold my interest, and they’ve inserted some attempts at humor that completely undermine any sense of tension, so it just doesn't come across as believable. I also found there was an excessive amount of gore. Despite this, there are a few things to appreciate about REC3. The zombies look quite good, the sound design is very well done, and thankfully it’s fairly brief—just 80 minutes long. _(3 stars out of 10)_
