It’s really enjoyable, I plan to watch it again, and I suggest others check it out too. You don't need to have seen the original film to appreciate this one. Despite my enjoyment of the movie, the standout element is definitely the computer-animated Disney Princesses—a clever preview for future CG films, which is what they should be prioritizing over live-action versions. I like it a lot, but there's a noticeable shift from the first film with an almost contradictory message. The initial movie centered on Ralph’s journey and the unintentional consequences that brought characters together through acceptance; this one expands upon that idea in a strange way, portraying the internet as a place of connection and then depicting its destruction. Even the central plot involves Ralph trying to restore order so things can remain stable, while Vanellope is looking for something new and different. It’s essentially about why they shouldn't be together, or perhaps suggesting that they are still connected despite appearances. Things quickly become odd, and although J.C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman deliver strong performances, you need to put aside some doubts about whether their actions make sense or are believable. The way Ralph causes chaos also feels different this time around. If you overlook the smaller details, it's a well-crafted adventure full of charm and delightful surprises with plenty of interesting people along the way. I’d be truly shocked if anyone genuinely hated this movie.
