It’s a significant responsibility for animated films to convey messages, not just for children but also for adults who are watching alongside them. What made 'Onward' somewhat underwhelming was that I didn’t feel like it offered any fresh insights relevant to my experiences as an adult. Even so, it remains a charming story with symbolic meaning, emphasizing themes of family connection, exploration, and kindness. Animation plays a crucial role in influencing the development of younger audiences, but sometimes those efforts fall short. I'm looking forward to Pixar’s next release, hoping that it will provide something new for me to take away—Pixar, remember to cater to the grown-up viewers too.
